Elephant Sanctury, Umphang House

Umphang, Thailand

How 1 week volunteering can be so memorable is amazing. Umphang House I would recommend to anyone – set in a remote village in North Thailand in the mist of the mountains. It may have been the most painstaking surreal journey up there but it was worth it. My pictures speak volumes from the adventure we experienced. From climbing a 1300 ft mountain and camping on it with a family of Thai people making us pancakes, to jumping off a 30ft waterfall and river bathing elephants. The most magical 7 days possible all thanks to Frontier Volunteering (the company we booked from through STA travel).
